GENERAL

HOMECOMING GAME:

Bring your Warrior spirit to the Homecoming Game as we challenge the Hilo High School Vikings tomorrow night at Wong Stadium.  The jayvee game starts at 5:00 p.m., the varsity game to follow.  The Homecoming Court will be introduced right after the jayvee game.  Go Warriors, let's support our school and teams! - D. SENIOR MARCHERS IN HOMECOMING PARADE

Turn in completed forms to James Imai or Mr. Castro by Thursday, September 25. - C. Castro

FRESHMAN CLASS T-SHIRT

The first order of shirts have sold out so we will be taking orders for a second order.  If you would like to have the red dragon shirt, see Mrs. Uyeda in D-203 for an order form.  All orders must be turned in by this Friday, Sept. 26th.  Thank you! - K. Uyeda

TO ALL INDUSTRIAL AND ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY PATHWAY STUDENTS The Waiakea High School Technology Learning Center is offering three hands-on afer school courses in Network Technology, Computer Programming, and Electric Vehicles.  Each course will be offered at no cost and will be held twice a week from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.  Students can earn one elective credit from each course.  These courses are designed foir students that have a strong interest and motivation in the world of technology. Additional information and applications can be picked up from Mr.Kiyan in J-Auto Shop or Dr. Marshall in J-Electronics.  Completed applications are due by October 3, 2008. - D. Kiyan

HOMECOMING PARADE:

Come one, come all to this year's Homecoming Parade, tomorrow, beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the Sparky Kawamoto Swim Stadium.  Wear Waiakea High School colors or your Homecoming t-shirt and show your Warrior pride.  Get your permission forms from your class advisors.  Tell everyone you know to come and watch the parade or if they graduated from WHS, they can march in the alumni section.  Go Warriors! - D. STUDENT REMINDER

The office bathrooms are available ONLY for students who have a class in the office or the library, or are at the office to conference with the principal. Students are responsible for their belongings at all times.  Please be reminded that custodians will NOT open any classroom afterschool to assist in retrieving items.  Lastly, the office is not a shortcut to the library, all students must enter and exit through the main library door.  Thank you. - M. PTSA BROWNIE SALE:

Plain brownies are available for sale in E-103 for $5.  Support the PTSA by purchasing a bag of five brownies. - D. Tanabe

HOMECOMING T-SHIRTS:

The last time to purchase Homecoming t-shirts is tomorrow, morning recess.  We have all sizes except for large.  Cost is $10 for youth lg. to XL, and $12 for XXL. - D. Tanabe

TODAY'S HOMECOMING ACTIVITIES:

Come to the quad today during lunch recess and watch the classes play kickball.  A canned good building contest will also be created by each class as part of the lunch activity.   - D. Tanabe

CLOSING RALLY:

Outsiders will not be permitted into the gym during the Closing Rally.  The rally is for our student body only. - D. Tanabe

 

SPORTS

CANOE PADDLING SIGN-UP

Boys and Girls  Canoe Paddling sign-ups will be held Thurs 9/25 in front of the WHS gym during lunch recess - T. Correa

BIG VOLLEYBALL GAME TONIGHT:

Let's all come out and cheer on the girl's volleyball teams as they challenge the Kamehameha Warriors at our Warrior gym tonight.  Wear your (Waiakea)Warrior attire...jayvee starts at 6 pm, varsity to follow. - D. Tanabe

FRENCH CLUB

There will be a French Club meeting on Friday, September 26 in H-102 during morning recess. - K. Dinges

ART CLUB

Meeting on Friday, September 26, 2008, at lunch in room H-101.  Be sure to bring your dues.  We will be discussing upcoming events. - S. Shiigi
