GENERAL

COLLEGE PRESENTATION

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA  -   A representative from USC will be doing a presentation  in GRAC on Monday, October 13, 2008 at 11:00am. USC is a private 4 - yr. university, located 3 mi. from downtown. SAT & SAT  subject test or ACT recommended.

LEHIGH UNIVERSITY  -  A representative from Lehigh University which is located about 50mi. from Pennsylvania, 75mi. from New York City, will be doing a presentation on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 11:15a.m. in GRAC.  For more information or to sign up for a pass, come to GRAC (port. 12). - N. PSAT REGISTRATION

PSAT REGISTRATION  - Is  FREE !  FREE !!   FREE !!!  to students from 9th to 11th grade !!!  REGISTRATION WILL BEGIN ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 15TH. THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER WILL BE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3RD.  PSAT TESTING IS SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2008 AT THE WHS CAFE. PROMPTLY AT 7:30 A.M.  To register for the test, come to GRAC (port. 12 ) w/ your  STUDENT ID  !!  Registration times are 1st recess, lunch recess, and after school.  DO NOT SEND STUDENTS DURING CLASS TIME.  Any questions, come to GRAC.   - N. KU HA'AHEO STUDY HALL MOVED TO F 103

Kü Ha'aheo study hall has moved from C 102 to F 103, Mr. Higa's Room.  The football coaches would like to monitor their students better.  Study Hall is still from 2:30-3:30 on M, T, Th, and from 2-3pm on Wednesday.  All students are welcome to attend study hall.  Students must bring work to study hall.  Mahalo for your cooperation. - P. FRESHMAN CLASS T-SHIRT

The first order of shirts have sold out so we will be taking orders for a second order.  If you would like to have the red dragon shirt, see Mrs. Uyeda in D-203 for an order form.  All orders must be turned in by this Friday, Sept. 26th.  Thank you! - K. Uyeda

TO ALL INDUSTRIAL AND ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY PATHWAY STUDENTS

The Waiakea High School Technology Learning Center is offering three hands-on afer school courses in Network Technology, Computer Programming, and Electric Vehicles.  Each course will be offered at no cost and will be held twice a week from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.  Students can earn one elective credit from each course.  These courses are designed foir students that have a strong interest and motivation in the world of technology. Additional information and applications can be picked up from Mr.Kiyan in J-Auto Shop or Dr. Marshall in J-Electronics.  Completed applications are due by October 3, 2008. - D. Kiyan

Boys and Girls  Canoe Paddling sign-ups will be held Thurs 9/25 in front of the WHS gym during lunch recess - T. Correa

FRESHMAN IN THE HOMECOMING PARADE

Freshmen who are marching in the parade need to meet in D-203 on Friday 9/19 and Wed., 9/24 during first recess to plan and practice what we are doing in the parade.  If you have any questions, see Sherilyn or Liann.  Thank you! - K. Uyeda
