GENERAL

HOMECOMING T-SHIRTS:

Get your Homecoming 2008 t-shirt early as there is a limitied supply...first come, first served!  Cost is $10 for YXL and S-XL.  $12 for XXL.  Shirts will go on sale beginning Weds., Sept. 17 in front of E-103 during lunch recess only.   - D. Tanabe

SENIOR SERVICE PROJECT

Help the Food Basket by bringing in canned good items for our Homecoming Service Project.  Bring in 5 (FIVE) canned goods to GRAC by Wednesday, Sept. 24th & you can earn a point towards a Commencement ticket.    - T. Kawada

FRESHMAN CLASS T-SHIRT

T-shirts are in!  Pick up your pre ordered shirt from D-203 during recess, lunch, or afterschool today through Friday.  Remember to bring your receipt.  We have a limited amount of extra shirts available for $14.00 in sizes S - XL only.  Wear your class shirt on Monday, Sept. 22nd to kick off Homecoming Week...."It's Showtime!"  Dragons! - K. SOUND CREW MEETING

There will be a mandatory meeting of the Sound Crew Wednesday, September 7 at lunchtime to discuss Homecoming Week and recruit new members.  Bring recruits!  Thanks. - A. Roberts

ALOHA FRIDAY

Wear aloha/Hawaiian attire on Friday, September 19.  Come to C102 during morning recess to receive a treat and enter to win our prize drawing.  Show your Warrior and Aloha Spirit and dress up! - K. Kaleohano

HI FIRE DEPT. EXPLORER PROGRAM

If you are interested in learning more about firefighting and EMS services, apply for the HI Fire Dept. Explorer Program. Parent informational meeting will be on Sept. 17. Only 20 high school students will be selected. For applications and/or more info, see Mrs. Igawa ASAP (U203). - Z. Igawa

MAKE-UP PICTURE TAKING

Underclassmen Make-up Picture Taking will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 from 8am-9:30am in the WHS Gym Lobby.  If you need a picture taking form, please stop by D-201. - K. Castillo

ATM  WORKING  PROPERLY!

The Waiakea SFF Student Credit Union's ATM is finally accepting cards from other institutions with a $1.00 service fee.  Stop by to withdraw funds in B-201 using our ATM and thank you for supporting Waiakea's credit union. - S. Kojima

HOMECOMING PARADE GRAND MARSHALS:

Kalei Namohala and Aunty Pua Chartrand are this year's Homecoming Parade Grand Marshals.  Please support and congratulate them next Friday as we ALL march in the Homecoming Parade.  Permission forms are available through your respective class advisor.    - D. Tanabe

HOMECOMING KICK-OFF:

Wear your class colors on Monday as we kick off Homecoming Week 2008, It's Showtime!  Don't be the only one in the stands without your class colors.  freshmen -  black & red; sophomores - black & white; juniors - flourescent green & brown; seniors - blue & silver.  Let's go Warriors! - D. Tanabe

JV AND VARSITY SOFTBALL SIGN-UP

Sign-ups for JV and Varsity softball will be held in front of the WHS gym on Thurs. 9/18 during lunch recess. - T. Correa

Attention all soccer girls, don't forget about the meeting @ the gym 3:30pm on the 18th of September regarding the pre-season tournament fundraising.  Please try e to bring your parents.  See you there. - E. Hagiwara

SENIORS HELPING WITH HOMECOMING SHIELDS

Please attend a work meeting for the shields on Wednesday, September 17 during lunch recess in Q202.  It's getting closer to Homecoming so please come and help your committee. - C. Ray

JAPANESE-AMERICAN FRIENDSHIP SOCIETY

There will be meeting on Sept. 17 where we'll learn how to make temaki sushi during lunch recess .  Please feel free to bring your own drink for that time and other toppings to put on the sushi.  Be on time as the lunch period is only 30 minutes.   - L. Otsubo
