GENERAL

HOMECOMING T-SHIRTS:

Get your Homecoming 2008 t-shirt early as there is a limitied supply...first come, first served!  Cost is $10 for YXL and S-XL.  $12 for XXL.  Shirts will go on sale beginning Weds., Sept. 17 in front of E-103 during lunch recess only.   - D. Tanabe

"IT'S SHOWTIME!"

Homecoming Week is right around the corner.  Get involved with your class by learning your class cheer, wearing your class shirt or class colors, bringing in canned goods for the service project and marching in the Homecoming Parade.  If you have any questions, see your respective class head advisor.    - D. Tanabe

HOMECOMING PARADE:

The Homecoming Parade will be held on Friday, Sept. 26, starting at 3:30 p.m. at the Kawamoto Swim Stadium.  All marchers will need a permission form.  Get your form from your respective class chairperson or head advisor.  Fill out a form today! - D. Tanabe

CLUB CHARTERS:

Club charters are due tomorrow to E-103. - D. Tanabe

COLLEGE PRESENTATION

STANFORD UNIVERSITY   - A representative from  Stanford U will be doing a presentation on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 8:30am. in GRAC.   Standford University is a private 4 - yr. university located 29mi. from  San Francisco. If interested come to GRAC  for a pass. - N. Okinaka

FRESHMAN CLASS T-SHIRT

T-shirts are in!  Pick up your pre ordered shirt from D-203 during recess, lunch, or afterschool today through Friday.  Remember to bring your receipt.  We have a limited amount of extra shirts available for $14.00 in sizes S - XL only.  Wear your class shirt on Monday, Sept. 22nd to kick off Homecoming Week...."It's Showtime!"  Dragons! - K. SOUND CREW MEETING

There will be a mandatory meeting of the Sound Crew Wednesday, September 7 at lunchtime to discuss Homecoming Week and recruit new members.  Bring recruits!  Thanks. - A. Roberts

HI FIRE DEPT. EXPLORER PROGRAM

If you are interested in learning more about firefighting and EMS services, apply for the HI Fire Dept. Explorer Program. Parent informational meeting will be on Sept. 17. Only 20 high school students will be selected. For applications and/or more info, see Mrs. Igawa ASAP (U203). - Z. Igawa

Underclassmen Make-up Picture Taking will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 from 8am-9:30am in the WHS Gym Lobby.  If you need a picture taking form, please stop by D-201. - K. Castillo

JV AND VARSITY SOFTBALL SIGN-UP

Sibn-ups for JV and Varsity softball will be held in front of the WHS gym on Thurs. 9/18 during lunch recess. - T. Correa

JAPANESE-AMERICAN FRIENDSHIP SOCIETY

There will be meeting on Sept. 17 where we'll learn how to make temaki sushi during lunch recess .  Please feel free to bring your own drink for that time and other toppings to put on the sushi.  Be on time as the lunch period is only 30 minutes.   - L. Otsubo
