GENERAL

TO ALL INDUSTRIAL AND ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY PATHWAY STUDENTS:

The Waiakea High School Technology Learning Center will be offering three, hands-on, after school courses in Network Technology, Computer Programming, and Electric Vehicles. Each course will be offered at no cost and will be held twice a week from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Students can earn one elective credit from each course. These courses are designed for students that have a strong interest and motivation in the world of technology. Additional information and course applications can be picked up from Mr. Kiyan in J-Auto Shop and Dr. Marshall in J-Electronics. Completed applications are due October 3, 2008. - D. Kiyan

UH HILO - Attention to all Juniors and Seniors ! If you missed the first UHHilo presentation, this is your chance to sign up for the second one. Which will be held on Tuesday, September 16, at 9:45a.m. in the WHS Library. Come to GRAC to sign up for

a pass if interested.

HAWAII PACIFIC UNIVERSITY - HPU is a private 4 - yr. university and liberal arts college located in Honolulu, HI. Will be doing a presentation in GRAC on Friday, September 19th, pd. 5, at 10:00am. Come to GRAC to sign up for a pass if interested. - N. Okinaka

HAWAII YOUTH CONSERVATION CORPS

Students 18yrs. & older - HYCC is a yr. round program( starting in Nov. 2008 & ends Sept. 2009) that provides a hands-on learining experience for young adults interested in careers in natural resource management. Do you love the outdoors? How about preserving Hawaii's unique natural environment ? Or help to maintain trails and erosion control, monitoring of wildlife including forest & coastal birds, fish and other populations? You will also receive a monthly stipend as well as an additional education award.

Alumni & recent graduates are welcome ! Deadline : October 31, 2008. Come to GRAC for more information if you re interested. - N. Okinaka
