GENERAL

COLLEGE PRESENTATIONS

SEATTLE UNIVERSITY  -   A representative from Seattle University will be doing a presentation in GRAC (port. 12) on Wednesday, September 3, at 11:45a.m. Seattle University  is a private 4 - yr. university.

UNIVERSITY OF OREGON  -  Public 4 - yr. university, located 110 mil. from Portland.  A representative will be in GRAC on Monday, September 8, at 8:30a.m.

UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND  -  Private 4 - yr. university, located in Portland, Oregon. A representative will be in GRAC on Friday, September 19, (pd. 7) at 12:15.

CLASS OF 2012 T-SHIRTS -

Pre-order your class t-shirt from today through Aug. 29th for a low cost of $11.00 for sizes small to extra large or $12.00 for XXL - XXXL.  Let's show your class spirit and unity by wearing your colors on Thursdays and during Homecoming.   If you wait until after the 29th prices will increase to $14.00 for S-XL and $15.00 for XXL - XXXL.  So, order your shirt today for a reasonable cost. GROMET FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is available to seniors who come from financially disadvantaged backgrounds, with a GPA of 3.5 or above, planning to enroll in a 4 year college or university.  $1,500 annually for students attending Hawaii universities and $5,000 annually for students attending mainland universities.  Applications must be post marked or e-mailed by Monday, October 20th.  Applications and more information available in GRAC. - T. HORATIO ALGER SCHOLARSHIP

Available for full-time high school seniors who intend to pursue a bachelor's degree at an accredited 2 or 4 year institution. Eligibility criteria includes financial need, co-curricular and community service activities, a minimum GPA of 2.0, and US citizenship.  On-line application available at www.horatioalger.org/scholarships.  Deadline for applications and supporting documents is October 30th.  Faxes/emails will NOT be accepted.  Come to GRAC for more information. - T. MATH LEAGUE

All those wishing to be members of this years MATH LEAGUE should participate in a placement assessment to be given Friday August 22 in R206 during lunch recess.  I you are unable to make please see Mr. Anderson or Nolan Kamataki for a make up as soon as possible. - K. Anderson

UNIVERSITY OF DENVER, COLORADO -  A private 4 yr. university located  8 mi. from downtown. Will be doing a presentation on Monday, September 15, at 8:30a.m. in GRAC (port.12).

WILLAMETTE UNIVERSITY  -  Is a private 4 yr. university and liberal arts college, located 45 mi. from Portland. A representative will be doing a presentation in GRAC (port. 12) on Thursday, September 18, at 8:30 a.m.
