GENERAL

YEARBOOK DISTRIBUTION

Yearbook Distribution will take place from May 26-29, 2009.  For that reason, it is important that you clear all obligations prior to May 15, 2009.  Distribution will take place in D-201 during lunch recess only.  All students should check the list on the door of D-201 in order to see if they purchased a yearbook.  If your name is listed, you will only need to bring a valid picture ID in order to pick up your book.  Distribution days are as follows:

 

Tuesday, May 26, 2009- Seniors

Wednesday, May 27, 2009- Juniors

Thursday, May 28, 2009- Sophomores and Freshmen

Friday, May 29, 2009- All grades

 

If you did not purchase a yearbook, they will be available for purchase on May 29, 2009 during lunch recess in D-201.  You must bring $50.00 cash in order to purchase it at that time. - K. Castillo

AFTER-SCHOOL CONCESSION

Hungry??  Check out the after-school concession starting May 18-29 in E103.  Daily specials include:  double-cheeseburger, pizza,, McChicken sandwiches, soft tacos, and hot dogs.   - P. Yanagisawa

CLASS OF 2012 COMMITTE CHAIR SIGN-UPS

All those interested in becoming a committee chair for the 2009-2010 school year please sign-up in Mrs. Uyeda's room by Thursday, May 21st and you will be considered for the position.   - K. Uyeda

SENIOR WEEK

Hey Seniors!  Don't forget!  This week is SHARK WEEK!  Show your class spirit and participate in all the week's festivities. 

TODAY is "Shark Pride Day".  Wear your Shark Shirt & come to the Quad with your Senior Spirit for a picnic & live entertainment by Hilo Roots.

TOMORROW is "Future Friday".  Dress up as you see yourself 10 years from now & bring memorabilia to put in our time capsule!  Sign ups for all activities are in GRAC.-T. Kawada

WAIAKEA SFF STUDENT CREDIT UNION

To all credit union members, the credit union will be winding down operations for the school year and will be CLOSED from June 1 to the opening of the new school year.  For the next 2 weeks, the credit union will be taking deposits only, cash withdrawals may be made via the ATM in B-201.  New accounts may be opened at any CU Hawaii branch until the reopening of our Waiakea SFF SCU in August.   If you have any quesitons or concerns, please stop by the credit union in B-202 during lunch.  Thank you. - S. UPWARD BOUND

There will be an information session on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the University Classroom Building 100 at 6 PM to 7 PM.  If you are interested in participating in the Upward bound program we encourage your attendance at this information session.  Please bring the following to the meeting in order to complete your application:

Upward Bound Application, Student  social security card, parents' 2008 tax return or other income verification, Student transcript including HSA test scores, current first quarter grades, completed teacher & counselor recommendations forms and a copy of inoculation record. - M. Respicio
