CLASS OF 2012 COMMITTEE CHAIR SIGN-UPS

All those interested in becoming a committee chair for the 2009-2010 school year please sign-up in Mrs. Uyeda's room by Thursday, May 21st and you will be considered for the position. - K. Uyeda

HUNGRY?

Please come and support DECA's Delightfully Dipped Company by buying chocolate dipped sprinkled pretzel bags from B-201. The bags will include 5 chocolate dipped sprinkled pretzels for $3.50. Tickets will be sold from May 14th -26th from any DECA member and at B-201. The pick up dates will be on June 1st and 2nd after school at B-201. SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP

UNITED FILIPINO COUNCIL OF HAWAII - Applicant must be of Filipino ancestry. GPA of 3.0 or above. Been accepted by an accredited college or university in the United States. Amt. $500.00. Deadline: June 26, 2009. - N. Okinaka

SENIOR WEEK

Hey Seniors! Don't forget! This week is SHARK WEEK! Show your class spirit and participate in all the week's festivities.

TODAY is "Comic Book Day". Dress up in character & participate in the obstacle courses.

TOMORROW is "Shark Pride Day". Wear your Shark Shirt & come to the Quad with your Senior Spirit for a picnic & live entertainment by Hilo Roots.

FRIDAY is "Future Friday". Dress up as you see yourself 10 years from now & bring memorabilia to put in our time capsule! Sign ups for all activities are in GRAC. - T. Kawada

SENIOR HONORS ENGLISH SUMMER HOMEWORK MEETING ON FRIDAY

IF YOU SIGNED UP FOR SENIOR HONORS ENGLISH NEXT YEAR, PLEASE ATTEND A MANDATORY MEETING DURING LUNCH RECESS ON FRIDAY, MAY 22, IN R205. YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR SUMMER HOMEWORK. SEE MRS. NAUNGAYAN PRIOR TO THAT DAY IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND ON FRIDAY. - S. Naungayan

SATURDAY SCHOOL

Did you miss out on attending Saturday School this past weekend? You still have two more chances to make up your absences. The last two Saturday Schools of the year will be May 23 and May 30 from 8:00am-12:20pm in the school cafeteria. Please bring your student ID to have admission into the sessions. All school rules apply. If you have any questions or need to know your current attendance status please see Mrs. Kiyonaga in P4. - L. Kiyonaga

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP

HILO JAYCEES SCHOLARSHIP - Recipients must be involved in at least one extracurricular or community based organization that provides volunteer based services to the community. GPA - 3.0. Applicant must have plans to be attending a 4 - yr. college in the State of Hawaii. SAR report, essay, college acceptance letter required. Deadline: June 3, 2009. Pick up your ordered shirts in R202 on Wed. 5-20 during recesses. A limited amount of extras will be sold for exactly $12 after song practice (no $ change given). - K. Irie

UPWARD BOUND

There will be an information session on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the University Classroom Building 100 at 6 PM to 7 PM. If you are interested in participating in the Upward bound program we encourage your attendance at this information session. Please bring the following to the meeting in order to complete your application:

Upward Bound Application, Student social security card, parents' 2008 tax return or other income verification, Student transcript including HSA test scores, current first quarter grades, completed teacher & counselor recommendations forms and a copy of inoculation record. - M. Respicio
