TENNIS COURTS OPEN
Effective immediately, the Waiakea High School tennis courts will be open to all students on Tuesdays and Thursdays for free play. Courts will open at 4 o'clock and close at 6 pm. Students need to supply their own tennis racquet and balls. Also, non-marking tennis shoes are required. - J. Higa

Imagine a college campus that floats and flies ? In the Navy, you can earn college credits on base. Even at sea. Navy ships have accredited instructors on board who teach college-level course work. Travel coast to coast. Interested ? If you are, Petty Officer Aaron Tolintino from the Navy will be doing a presentation in GRAC on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 9:30am. SENIORS - MONDAY IS "BACK IN THE DAY" DAY
Kick off Senior Week by going back to hanabata days. Dress up in elementary school attire & re-live the days of jump rope and hopscotch. Sign up in GRAC (P-12) to participate in the Waiakeawaena Menehunes vs. Waiakea Elementary Royals Tug-of-War contest to be held in the Quad during lunch recess on Monday. Those of you who have been storing Memorial Day ti leaf leis for the senior class, please bring them to school next Wednesday, May 20, so that the leis can defrost before Thursday's packing. Please take them to Q201. If you had boxes with them, please bring the boxes, too, so we can use them to pack all the leis on Thursday. - C. Ray

Hey Seniors! Don't forget! Next week is SHARK WEEK! Show your class spirit and participate in all the week's festivities.
MONDAY we'll kick off the week with "Back-In-The-Day" day! Dress up in your old school attire and come to the Quad for Tug-o-War & other small kid activities.
TUESDAY is "Tourist Tuesday"! Come dressed as a tourist & bring your favorite Senior class advisor to the Quad at lunch to participate in the Faculty Dress-Up competition.
WEDNESDAY is "Comic Book Day". Dress up in character & participate in the obstacle courses.
THURSDAY is "Shark Pride Day". Wear your Shark Shirt & come to the Quad with your Senior Spirit for a picnic & live entertainment by Hilo Roots.
FRIDAY is "Future Friday". Dress up as you see yourself 10 years from now & bring memorabilia to put in our time capsule!
