SENIOR LUAU BIDS:

ICE CREAM SALE!!!

We still have some left over ice cream and frozen yogurt from the dessert fair. Only $1.00. They are homemade from our food service kitchen. Flavors are Chocolate Ice Cream, Vanilla Ice Cream, Coconut Ice Cream, Peach Frozen Yogurt, and Chocolate Frozen Yogurt. Come to I-103 to inquire. Hurry limited supply! - P. Gutzeit

FRESHMAN CONNECTION 2009:

Do you love Waiakea High School and exhibit Warrior pride and respect?  If you answered yes, SGA wants you to serve as a Freshman Connection leader for next year.  Pick up applications in E-103 during recesses immediately.  Deadline for completed applications is Friday, May 8.  This is for incoming juniors and seniors ONLY. - D. CONGRATULATIONS RYAN SAGAWA!

Congratulations to Ryan Sagawa for winning the Hawaii State DECA Pin Design Contest.  Ryan's pin was taken to the DECA Nationals by Ariel Ray and Kellie Ancheta (representing Hawaii) and traded for other pins from around the nation.  Thanks Ryan for making your mark around the country! - S. Kojima

CONGRATULATIONS MARKETING PLAN WINNERS!

Congratulations to Alyssa Kudo and Ariel Ray (Waiakea SFF SCU Marketing Plan) who won 3rd place in the state at the Hawaii High Schools Marketing Plan Competition sponsored by UH-Manoa's College of Business and the DOE.   Congratulations to Brett Hosaka and Melanie Isa (Divisional Winners); Tyson Agbayani, Written Exam Medal Winner and Alyssa Kudo, Written Exam 3rd place winner.  Also to Dustin Morita, Travis Morita and Lianne Yamane for being selected to represent Waiakea High at the competition.  WAY TO GO! - S. HAWAII STATE SKILLSUSA WINNER

Congratulations to Anthony (Tony) Daub who won the Automotive Service Contest at the Hawaii State SkillsUSA Conference and Competition held in Honolulu on April 11 - 13, 2009.   Tony may represent Hawaii, along with fellow Warriors Aaron Sewake and Cameron Yasukawa at the National SkillsUSA Competitions in June at Kansas City.  Tony will also receive a $6,000 scholarship to attend Wyotech this September.  Way to go CTE Warriors!  - D. MEETINGS

¡SPANISH CLUB WEEK!

Spanish Club Week will be May 5-8 during lunch recesses.  Tuesday will be Cinco de Mayo and tacos, Wed. is the quesadilla eating contest, Thurs. is a scavenger hunt and nachos, Friday we will have a piñata and potluck AFTER SCHOOL.  Shirts will also be distributed that week!  No vemos! - S. Kiriu
