GENERAL

HCC STUDENT ORIENTATION PRESENTATION

Attention to all Seniors ! If you have been accepted into Hawaii Community College in the Fall, you are required to attend the orientation presentation, scheduled for Thursday, April 30, 2009 in the Library at 9:30am. (pd. 2 ). At this time, you will be informed of various services, payments of fees, registration and given general information of HCC. To sign up for the presentation, come to GRAC (port. 12) or Q203 to sign up for a pass. Any questions/concerns, come to GRAC. - N. Okinaka

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS

HAWAII ISLAND LANDSCAPE ASSOCIATION - Applicant must plan to enroll in a program in horticulture, landscaping or agriculture. Must show financial need. Amt. - $500.00. Deadline: April 30, 2009.

HO'OULU 2009 HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL NATIVE AMERICAN SUMMER PROGRAM

Any high school student who is a Native Hawaiian resident, will complete their sophomore or junior yr. of ed. by the end of Spring 2009. GPA - 3.0 or higher. Available to participate in the program from June 21 - July 18, 2009. Students selected to attend this program will receive full scholarship. Encludes: tuition, books, round trip to and fr. Boston, meals, housing. Deadline: May 9th, 2009. For more information to any of these scholarships, come to GRAC. - N. Okinaka

SENIORS: MEMORIAL DAY TI LEAF LEIS

Please help out your class by donating ti leaf or making ti leaf leis for Memorial Day. You can earn points toward a commencement ticket. Please bring ti leaf in a kitchen-size plastic bag or 10 ti leaf leis to Q202. If you have any questions regarding commencement ticket points or work sessions to make leis, please see chairperson Alyssa Sato. - C. Ray

MAY DAY

Seniors participating with your class for May Day, there are three more practices - Friday, April 24, Wednesday, April 29 and Friday, May 1. Practices are being held during morning recess in C102. Mahalo and please support your class! - K. Kaleohano

SUMMER JOBS

Want to gain work experience? Wanna earn some money? The Workforce Development division is able to assist you if you are at least 16 years of age and are economically disadvantaged. See your counselor for more info and an application. Deadline to submit applications: May 4. - P. Yanagisawa

SENIOR LUAU

The lu'au will be held at 'Imiloa on May 23, 2009 from 6 -10 p.m. Bids will be sold starting Thursday, April 30 through Thursday, May 7th. The cost of the bids is $20. - Y. Bright-Poai

2009 - 2010 FOOTBALL SIGN UPS

Football sign ups will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 during lunch recess at F-101/F-102. - W. Kanakaole
