YOKOSO JAPAN TRIP

Arigato! So many have responded to our first-class trip to Japan! Yes, you can still join your friends and spend Spring 2010 in Tokyo, Hakone, and Kyoto! Learn from actual scholars in the field, and take a cooking lesson in Tokyo. Enjoy your stay in beautiful 3 and 4 star hotels. We have set our limit at 30 participants, so we still have seats left! The price for the "Yokoso Japan!" trip will increase $170.00 as of midnight, Friday, April 10th. Join now and save! Your $150.00 down-payment will lock in the price. You can register with ACIS and pay on-line via credit card. Everything is included: airfare, 3 and 4-star accommodations, bus, boat cruise, train fare, admission to all venues, and all meals (except lunch). ACIS is a first-classeducation experience! SENIOR PROM

The 2009 Senior Prom Simply Forever will be held this Friday, April 10th at the UH-Hilo Sodexho Dining Room. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Prom goers and their guests need to bring photo ID, prom bids and their picture packets. SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS

HAWAII ASSOCIATION OF PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS - Amt. $1,000.00 for pursuing a Baccalaureate degree, $750.00 for an Associates degree. Candidates must be pursuing a career in accounting and plan to enroll full-time. Deadline: April 21, 2009.

FARM CREDIT SERVICES OF HAWAII - Amt. $1,000.00. Candidates must provide documentation to show their intent to further their education in an agricultural related field. Deadline: April 30, 2009.

KOHALA PUERTO RICAN SOCIAL CLUB - Applicant must be of Puerto Rican ancestry. Parents must be paid-up members of the Kohala Puerto Rican Social Club. Deadline: April 30, 2009.

JUSTICE BEN MENOR SCHOLARSHIP - Scholarships will be awarded to incoming UHManoa undergraduates of Filipino ancestry. Essay, school/community involvement, academic achievment, financial need. Amt. $1000.00. Deadline: April 30, 2009.

CATRALA - HAWAII SCHOLARSHIP - Applicant must be pursuing a higher education in Travel Industry Managment or other Business-related course of study at any accredited 4-yr.college or university. SGA CONGRESS MEETING:

There will be an SGA Congress meeting today, 11:50 am in the cafeteria. All social studies reps, class & service club presidents, and SGA chairpersons, please attend. - D. Tanabe

CLASS OF 2011 COUNCIL MEETING:

There will be a sophomore class council meeting today, lunch recess in E-103. All chairpersons and English class reps, please attend. - D. Tanabe

 

 

 

 

FACULTY & STAFF

MAY DAY STAFF HULA:

recruiting male & female dancers from among our talented staff. Hula number will be sung in English. It would be delightful if we could have one or more persons representing the teachers, classified (clerical, EAs, security), custodial, or cafeteria staff - the more the merrier! Practice begins next week on mondays & thursdays, possibly in M102. Come out and join in the fun! - M. Masaki
