OKINAWAN VISITORS:

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS

DAVID ISHII FOUNDATION - The annual Monte Ito/Bill Gee scholarship program administered by the David S. Ishii Foundation is designed for Hawaii high school seniors and college students w/ a compelling interest in journalism and golf. Amt. $1,500.00. (Entrants need not be planning to major in journalism). Deadline: June 4, 2009.

GUSTAV HANNEMAN & FAIASO SOLIAI HANNEMAN SCHOLARSHIP - Graduating senior must be of Samoan ancestry who demonstrate academic promise & leadership. Two $500 awards will be granted to one male & one female. G.P.A. - 2.5 or higher. Participation in student gov. and on-campus activities or community service. Deadline : May 1, 2009. FANS WITH CANS

Hui Hawaii 'o Waiakea is sponsoring a Food Drive for the Hawaii Food Basket. Donations are being accepted in C-102 from now till Friday. We will also be holding a concert in the Quad on Friday during lunch recess. Donations will be accepted at that time also. Mahalo! - K. Kaleohano

BLOOD DRIVE:

All donors should have received an appointment card stating their appointment times. Only those students who have appointments from 7:30 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. should report directly to the library. All others must attend class and wait for a runner to come for them. If you are scheduled during recess or lunch recess, please check in front of the library for your approximate appointment time. - Y. Bright-Poai

LIBRARY CLOSED:

Library closed Friday, March 20th due to Blood Drive. Only student donors will be allowed in. - Y. Bright-Poai

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP

FOODLAND'S SHOP FOR HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP - ATTENTION SENIORS !! Foodland's education scholarships are now available in GRAC ! Come by to pick up and application. Scholarship amt. $2,000.00. Deadline: DUE MONDAY, APRIL 6TH . NO LATER THAN MORNING RECESS !! NO EXCEPTIONS !! Turn in all completed applications into GRAC. (port.12). Any questions, come to GRAC. - N. Okinaka

REMINDERS FOR BLOOD DONORS:

You MUST bring a picture ID to your appointment. Also, remember to drink 8-10 glasses of water today and tomorrow. Hydration makes the process faster! - Y. Bright-Poai

Blood Drive is being held all day in the library today. Sorry, the library is closed for all library and computer use. - G. Kobayashi

KEY CLUB

All members who are working this weekend for the marathon must pick-up their t-shirts to wear at the projects from Mrs. Sato's room today. If you do not pick your shirt up today, you must get it at the finish line area tomorrow (Saturday) from Kanoe. - K. Sato

SENIOR SHARKS

Project Graduation information and registration forms will be mailed out during Spring Break. Please do not throw these forms away if you are planning to attend Project Graduation after Commencement. It is an all-night celebration at the Yacht Club with lots of fun activities, music and entertainment, prizes and good food. Registration forms can be turned in to Mrs. Sato after April 7th or mailed to the school. We are hoping for as many of you to be a part of this special night! - K. Sato

SENIOR PHONE BOOK DRIVE

To all Seniors-

Please support your class and donate your phone books to the Senior Phone book Drive! Starting on April 6th, 2009, please drop off your phone books at Mr. Mau's room E-102 every Monday and Wednesday before school and during morning recess. Those who donate 10 phone books will receive 1 point towards a commencement ticket. - K. Sato

 

 

 

JUNIOR BALL- APRIL 4TH

Attention Jr. Ball attendees! Don't forget Jr. Ball will be on Saturday, April 4th. Doors will open 5:30 p.m and close at 6 p.m. Bring your bids and photo packets.

BLOOD DRIVE:

All student donors have received an appointment. Do NOT release them until a runner comes for them. As the day progresses, appointments will be delayed. If the appointment is during a recess, please tell students to check in front of the library for approximate appointment times. Also, donations normally take approximately one hour but may take longer due to circumstances. We will verify arrival and departure times after the drive. Thank you! - Y. Bright-Poai
