GENERAL

2007 YEARBOOKS

If you are interested in ordering a yearbook, please come by D-201.  Yearbooks are $50.00 and you can pay with cash or a check written out to WHS.  All books purchased prior to January 1, 2007 will be engraved. - K. Castillo

STUDENT DOOR DECORATING CONTEST:

Today is the last day to submit the registration form to enter the door decorating contest. Bring your form to E-103.  - D. Tanabe

WINTER WEEK 2007:

Holiday Ho-Ho-Ho Down begins on Monday.   Form a team of two and report to E-103 during lunch recess to participate in the Gift Wrapping Contest.  Don't forget to wear RED on Monday and GREEN on Tuesday!   - D. Tanabe

HEY FUTURE TEACHERS!

Did you know, that all of you, in some way, shape or form, will be a teacher some day?  Would you like to know more about teaching and what it takes to be a teacher?  Sign up for the Teacher Education class for 2008-2009 school year.  There will be a meeting on Friday, December 7 during morning recess in U203 for those of you interested in finding out more about this class.  If you can't make them meeting, see Mr. Williamson for details. - K. Williamson

VARIETY SHOW DATE CHANGE

The 2008 Variety Show has been rescheduled from Saturday, February 23 to Sunday, February 24.  All performers will be required to attend the dress rehearsal on the evening of Saturday, February 23.  The committee regrets if this change will create an inconvenience for anyone involved.   - M. SENIOR ADS

If you are a senior and you are interested in purchasing an ad in the 2007-2008 yearbook, please see Mrs. Castillo in D-201 asap.  There are a few ad pages left in the yearbook, and pages will be sold on a first come, first served basis. - K. Castillo

SANTA'S WORKSHOP:

Those who signed up to assist with the Santa Workshop project, please make sure to report for your shift this week.  If you forgot your shift, check with your grade level chairperson.  Thank you! - D. Tanabe

HOLIDAY HO-HO-HO DOWN:

Winter Week starts on Monday.  Don't forget to wear red.  Also, students are eligible to participate in the gift wrapping contest.  Sign up in E-103. - D. Tanabe

WINTER WEEK SIGNUP:

Come to E-103 and sign up for the Winter Week activities.  Sign up sheets are located on the main counter.  You could be eligible to win great prizes! - D. Tanabe

 

SPORTS

BOY'S SOCCER:

Received word that 1 hour of the boy's soccer game against HPA will be broadcasted on channel 54 this Sat., 7 am and this Sun., 8 pm.  Check it out and see our Warriors in action!  - D. Tanabe

GIRLS GOLF SIGN-UPS

Girls golf sign-up will be held Tues. 12/11 in front of the WHS Gym during lunch recess. All girls golf team returning members and new candidates should attend. - T. Correa

SPANISH CLUB

DEBATE MEETING

Debaters meet Friday, Dec. 7th during first recess in C-204.  The topic is GMO's (genetically-modified organisms). - M. Ellsworth

FACULTY & STAFF

TEACHERS' (& STAFF) HOLIDAY DESSERT CONTEST:

BAM! Let the competition begin! The students know that teachers (& staff) are great cooks and pastry chefs.  Create a dessert and enter it in the Holiday Dessert Contest.  Bring six pieces of your dessert to E-103 on Monday, 12/10 to be judged during lunch recess by student judges.   - D. Tanabe
