SENIORS

Cap & Gown ordering book distribution will be on Wednesday 11/14/07, Thursday 11/15/07 and Friday 11/16/07.  Please stop by P-5 (Mrs. Tagawa's office) during lunch recess to pick up your ordering books.  Thank you. - J. Lyman-Mandaloniz

LAST DAY FOR WINTERBALL BIDS IS FRIDAY

Friday, November 16th is the LAST DAY to purchase your Winter Ball bids for this season's most elegant dance!  "Dreamscape" will be held on Saturday, December 15, from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. in the WHS Gymnasium.  Bids are $7.00 for WHS students and $10.00 for guests (under 21 only!) and will be sold during LUNCH RECESS in front of E103 ONLY UNTIL THIS FRIDAY.   Attire is Sunday Best--dressy dresses/skirts for women and collared shirts and pants (no jeans) for men.  Don't miss this season's most beautiful dance! - S. COLLEGE & SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

SENIORS!  Please read all of your college/scholarship applications carefully and make sure that you are aware of 2 things:  the application deadline and what needs to be submitted with the application.  Don't wait till the last minute to send in your applications or ask people to write letters of recommendation for you.  Please see me if you have any questions about your applications! - H. NATIONAL YOUTH LEADERSHIP FORUM IN MEDICINE

Students interested in the field of medicine who want to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum this summer, see Mrs. Akiona before November 21.

ART CLUB

Reminder to all Art Club members who have paid their dues, yearbook picture-taking will be on Friday, November 16th,

at 12:26 p.m. in the botanical gardens in the front of the school (if it is raining on Friday, groups will take their photo in the gym).   Be there 5 minutes prior to picture-taking time and wear your Art Club t-shirts. - S. Shiigi

HOMECOMING COMMITTEE REPORTS:

SGA & class chairpersons are responsible for turning in committee reports by next Weds. to their respective advisors.  Do not wait till the last minute.  Forms are available in E-103. - D. Tanabe

KÜ HA'AHEO WEEKLY ATTENDANCE MAKE UP

Only four more days to come to C 102 for after school attendance makeup from 2-3pm: Thurs, Nov 15, Mon, Nov 19, Tues, Nov 20, and Wed, Nov 21. 

Saturday school dates are at the cafeteria: Wed, Dec 5, Sat, Dec 8, and Sat, Dec 15.

All un made up attendances beyond 5 in each class will result in a U for the semester. - P. Morales

SCHOOL-WIDE FALL SERVICE PROJECT

Hey Waiakea!  Take part in the Santa's Workshop Project!  We will be setting up  shop at the Waiakea Elementary School cafeteria on Saturday, December 8th, 2007.  We're giving the opportunity for Waiakea-complex elementary students to purchase cheap gifts for their friends and family and we're providing free gift wrapping.  Proceeds from the event will go to PBS.  This event will no be a success without your help.  We need donations of wrapping paper, tissue paper, gift bags, ribbon, and most importantly...gifts!  Gifts can be for mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters...for anybody.  Do not bring food and be wary of toys made in China.  You may bring your donations to E-103, Mrs. Tanabe's room.  Nove. 29th is the deadline so get  crack'n'! - D. SPORTS CHALLENGE:

Today's Sports Challenge will be postponed until further notice due to Winter Ball bid sales and not enough sign up.  This activity is for fall athletic teams; we need four members of the team to form a group.  Sign up in E-103.   - D. Tanabe

CHEERLEADING BIIFS:

Come out and support the cheerleaders this Saturday, Nov. 17, 1:00 p.m. at the Warrior gym.  They will be competing against other schools on this island.  Go Warriors! - D. Tanabe

 

MEETINGS

JAPANESE-AMERICAN FRIENDSHIP SOCIETY

There will be no meeting on Thursday Nov. 15.   Please remember to go to the botanical garden on Friday Nov. 16 by 12:36 p.m. for picture taking. in the yearbook.  If you would like to wear the old club shirt, you can borrow one on that day and return it after picture taking.  All club members please try to be present so that we can get a nice picture with as many members as possible.   All members who have a club t-shirt please wear it for picture taking.  Thank you.  - L. MATH LEAGUE

Meet #2 is this Saturday 10am at Hilo High.  Meet at the covered area at 9:30 am.  There will be practice sessions Thursday and Friday FOR all members in R206 after school.  If you can not make it see Mr. Anderson during each day.  White Team, we are working on your line up, sorry for the delay. Should be up today or Friday - K. Anderson
