GENERAL

ATTENDANCE MAKEUP/SATURDAY SCHOOL

Weekday Attendance makeup will run from October 8 - November 21, daily EXCEPT FRIDAY in C 102.  There will be NO Weekday attendance makeup after November 21, for the last three weeks of the semester .  There are only 25 seats available daily, so do not wait until the last minute. There will be only three (3) Saturday School days this semester: Wednesday, December 5 from 2-6pm, Saturday, Dec 8, from 8am-noon, and Saturday, Dec 15  from 8am-noon in the cafeteria.  There will be NO Weekday Attendance make up or Saturday school the last week before the end of the semester (Dec 17-20). See an administrator, Come to C 101 or see Mrs. Kiyonaga in P-4 if you have any questions. - P. De Morales

LIKO A'E: NATIVE HAWAIIAN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM PRESENTATION

Tuesday, November 13, Pd 5, from 11am-noon in the library.  Kamaka Gunderson will be coming to explain the Liko A'e scholarship,  recruit students to develop a cohort of high school students for a college bridge program, talk about financial aid options, etc.  Presentation is open to juniors and seniors.  Non-Hawaiian students are welcome to come and hear her college prep info.  See Mrs. Okinaka in GRAC for a pass to the presentation. - P.De  Morales

Cap & Gown ordering book distribution will be on Wednesday 11/14/07, Thursday 11/15/07 and Friday 11/16/07.  Please stop by P-5 (Mrs. Tagawa's office) during lunch recess to pick up your ordering books.  Thank you. - J. Lyman-Mandaloniz

FIRST HAWAIIAN BANK'S FREE COLLEGE PLANNING WORKSHOP

Tonight, Tues., Nov. 13 from 6:00-7:30 pm at WHS cafeteria.  Parents and students, grades 9-12 are invited to attend.  Topics include:  getting ready for college, choosing a college, and financing a college education. - P. Yanagisawa

ANYKINE CRAZY FUNKY OFF-THE-WALL PEFORMERS WANTED!

Why don't you peform in the Variety Show?  This is a great opportunity for you to participate in something fun.  We are looking for unique and thrilling acts,  so come to C204 to pick up application forms this week only.  You will be scheduled for auditions when you turn in completed forms.  Auditions will be held on December 8th.  Variety Show will be held on February 23, 2008.  - M. Yearbook picture taking for the Freshman Class Council (Eng. reps., chairpersons, officers) will take place on Thurs., Nov. 15 at 12:36 pm in the gym.  Wear your Panda t-shirt or black and white. - D. Tanabe

LAST WEEK:  WINTER BALL BIDS ON SALE

Make sure to get your Winter Ball bids by this Friday!!  The 2007 Winter Ball will be held on Saturday, December 15, in the WHS Gymnasium.   Cost is $7.00 for WHS students and & $10.00 for guests (under 21 only!). Attire is Sunday Best; Collared shirts for guys and no jeans! Clear your obligations and bring your signed permission form, ID, and bid fees to E103 at LUNCH RECESS.  Don't wait.  Do it today!!!  - S. Naungayan
