SENIORS

Today is the last day to submit your parent patron donation to the yearbook staff.If you missed this extended due date, monies will still be accepted through the class treasury.Unfortunately, your parent's name will not be published in the yearbook.Thanks to all of you who contributed to bringing down the cost of the senior section. - K. SAT TESTING REMINDER

Just a reminder !The first SAT Test will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the WHS Cafeteria. Testing will begin promptly at 7:45am - 1:15pm. Don't forget your student ID, admission ticket, two sharpened #2 pencils, calculator. Any questions come to GRAC. - N. Okinaka

MANDATORY PARENT SND STUDENT DRIVER ED. MEETING

Students who have signed up for the October driver ed . session, are to attend a very important meeting on Thursday, October 11th. At least one parent must attend the meeting also.. Students who do not attend this meeting with their parents will not be able to take the class. - W. Yamauchi

REV IT UP WRAP UP:

Homecoming is just around the corner, Oct. 22-27, 2007.There will be a Homecoming movie night and dance to culminate the week's activities on Saturday, Oct. 27.Permission forms will be available on Oct. 8 & 9, and bids will be sold from Thursday, Oct. 11 till Weds., Oct. 17 outside E-103.Cost is $1 plus a canned good.- D. Tanabe

ATTENDANCE MAKEUP/SATURDAY SCHOOL

Weekday Attendance makeup will run from October 8 - November 21, daily EXCEPT FRIDAY in C 102.There will be NO Weekday attendance makeup after November 21, for the last three weeks of the semester .There are only 25 seats available daily, so do not wait until the last minute. There will be only three (3) Saturday School days this semester: Wednesday, December 5 from 2-6pm, Saturday, Dec 8, from 8am-noon, and Saturday, Dec 15from 8am-noon in the cafeteria.There will be NO Weekday Attendance make up or Saturday school the last week before the end of the semester (Dec 17-20). See an administrator, Come to C 101 or see Mrs. Kiyonaga in P-4 if you have any questions. - P. De Morales

MATH LEAGUE MEET

The Waiakea High School Math League Blue team won the first Math League meet of the year after school Wednesday September 26, here in the Waiakea Cafeteria.9 high schools were present for this first meet. The Waiakea Blue team out scored the Hilo Gold team by more than 10 points.Of the ten members of the Waiakea Blue team, Chihiro Sasaki, Bryce Harada, and Gerry Rivera each scored perfect 30ís to lead the Blue team to victory.A special thank you goes out to our first every parent spectators from Hilo High School, I hope our lack of bleacher seating for spectators didnít remove from the experience. The next meet will be Saturday, November 17, at Hilo High School.- K. Anderson
