GENERAL

COLLEGE PRESENTATIONS

 UNIVERSITY OF OREGON - A representative from Uof Oregon will be doing a presentation in GRAC,on Tuesday, August 4, 2007 at 8:30am.

UNIVERSITY OF SAN FRANCISCO - Will be doing a presentation in GRAC on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 10:00am.

SEATTLE UNIVERSITY  - Will be doing a presentation in Port. 5 (Mrs. Tagawa's room) on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 10:30am.

UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND OREGON - A representative from U of Portland OR, will be doing a presentation on Friday, Sept. 21 at 12:15pm.

HARVARD COLLEGE - will be doing a presentation in GRAC at 1:15pm, on Friday, Sept. 21st.  Juniors and Seniors interested  in any of these college presentations, come to GRAC (port. 12) for a pass. - N. Okinaka

UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

Juniors and Seniors interested in attending Engineering Day on Saturday, September 29th from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm on the University of Hawaii's campus.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. Tagawa for a registration form.  If you are interested, but unable to attend this function, you can request information to be mailed to you.  See Mrs. Tagawa if you have any questions.  Thank you! - H. ABOUT FACE PROGRAM

Earn $240  for attending 16 after school sessions learning about useful life and work skills.  Classes will start on November 2 through December 12.  Hurry and get an application form from your counselor. - M. Akiona

PTSA OPEN HOUSE:

The WHS PTSA Open House has been rescheduled to Thursday, Aug. 30.  A $3 spaghetti dinner will commence at 5:15 pm in the cafeteria with a short PTSA meeting to follow at 6:00 p.m.  Classrooms will be open for parent visits from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. - D. Tanabe

TRIP TO ITALY  AND  GREECE MEETING  FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO SIGN UP

YOU'VE LEARNED ABOUT ITALY AND GREECE;  YOU'VE SEEN THE MOVIES--NOW WALK WITH US WHERE HISTORY COMES ALIVE!  BECAUSE WE WILL BE LEAVING ON MARCH 12TH, THE PRICE IS NOW REDUCED FOR ALL TRAVELERS!  ONLY 17 POSITIONS REMAIN OPEN!  COME TO THE LIBRARY ON MONDAY, AUGUST 27TH, FROM 6:00 TO 7:00 P.M. JUNIOR CLASS COUNCIL

SHARKS!!!  Our first JUNIOR class council meeting will be on THURSDAY, August 23rd during lunch recess in R-202.  All committee chairs and English class representatives are reminded to attend. - T. Kawada

ART CLUB

The Art Club will be having a meeting this Friday, August 24, 2007, in room H-101 during lunch.  Please be prompt. - S. Shiigi

WAIAKEA WRITERS GROUP

For those interested in writing, drawing and generally expressing yourself in a free, non judgmental environment, our first organizational meeting will be held Thursday, August 23 starting at 10:35 (first recess) in U203.  Please come and see what all of the fuss is about! - K. Williamson

 

 

FUTURE EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION

All those interested in the Future Educators Association, our first meeting will be Friday, August 24 at 12:20 in the Library.  We will talk about the gaining our national charter, activities and general club information.  Hope to see you there. - K. Williamson

SENIOR CLASS COUNCIL

Mandatory meeting for all officers, class chairs, and English class reps. this Thursday, August 23rd in D-203 during lunch recess.  All other interested Vipers may attend.  Important things to discuss.    - K. Uyeda

MATH LEAGUE

The meeting scheduled for wednesday has been moved to Friday.  So if you wish to become a member of the illustrious Math League come to R206 Friday Lunch.   All math skill levels welcome.  Remember It's about the food. - K. Anderson
