GENERAL

FINAL 4TH QUARTER PROJECTS

Students who had Mrs. Uyeda last year may pick up their Modern History of Hawai`i final project in D-203.  All projects not picked up by August 10th will be thrown away.  Thank you!  - K. Uyeda

NOVANET SESSIONS

Students who are enrolled in NovaNET can start working on Monday, August 6 in the computer lab after school.  See Mr. Kanaka'ole to resume your work.  You must complete all work by February 29, 2008.  After that date, NovaNET will no longer be available to us. - P. De Morales

SCHOOL PICTURE TAKING FOR UNDERCLASSMEN

School picture taking will take place on August 8th and 9th during your English class.  Picture packet forms will be distributed through your English classes this week.  If you do not get a form from your English teacher, please come by D-201 to pick up a form. - K. Castillo

SENIOR YEARBOOK INFORMATION

If you have not contacted Reed and Jay Photography to take your senior photo, please contact them today at 935-9922.  If you do not have an appointment scheduled on or prior to August 31, 2007, your senior photo will not appear in the yearbook.  Also, do not forget that baby photos, extra photos and sayings are due on August 16, 2007 to room D-201.  Please do not procrastinate! - K. STUDENT FEE COLLECTION

Student fees can be paid at the finance office during the following times:   7:45 A. - 8:15 A., morning recess & lunch recess.  Do not send students during class time. - D. Yoshiyama

LOCKER RENTAL:

Lockers are available for a $5 rental fee.  Come to E-103 to sign up during LUNCH RECESS ONLY.  Last day to rent a lock is Tuesday, Aug. 7. - D. Tanabe

WAIAKEA SFF SCU OPENING

The Waiakea SFF (Student, Faculty & Family) SCU (Student Credit Union) will be opening on TUESDAY, AUGUST 7th during lunch recess.  Please stop by to open your account (remember to bring a copy of your SS Card and Picture ID) or make a transaction.  For more information, see Mrs. Kojima in Room B-201. - S. Kojima

DRIVER ED. PARENT LETTER

All students who have signed up for August session driver ed. are to pick up parent night letter from Mr. Yamauchi at the Boys Lockeroom.

Come during recesses,before or after school. Mandatory meeting will be held on August 16th, 6:30pm at the school library.

Student and a parent must attend this meeting to take driver ed. - W. Yamauchi

AFTERSCHOOL CONCESSION

Hey Warriors!!! Stop by E103 everyday this month to purchase snacks & beverages. - T. Kawada

SHARKS!!!

Support your Junior class afterschool concession in E103 throughout the month of April.  We're trying to raise money so we can have awesome Junior class activities this year.  Sharks ROCK!!! - T. Kawada

JUNIORS & SENIORS  

A representative from UHManoa will be doing a presentation in the Cafeteria on Monday, August 20, 2007 at 8:30a.m.

UHHilo will be doing their presentation on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 in the Cafeteria starting at 8:30am.

A representative from Colby College will be doing a college presentation on Friday, August 31, 2007 at 9:15a.m. in GRAC.Colby College is located in Waterville, Maine.  If interested in any of these College presentation, come to GRAC (Port. 12) to sign up for a pass. - N. Okinaka

COMPLEX PASSES

Please do not go over to WIS or WES unless  you have a complex pass.  If you have a complex pass, do not go over until THEY finish school.  Thank you!!! - J. Urasaki

CLUB DAY:

On Friday, Aug. 10, students will be able to check out the many clubs that are available at WHS.  Come to the quad during lunch recess, join a club and F.L.Y - Find the Leader in YOU!   - D. Tanabe

 

SPORTS

AIR RIFLE TRYOUTS

Air Rifle tryouts will start on Monday August 6th at 6:30pm in WHS Gym. Completed Physical and Parent Consent forms are required for parrticipation. Attendance is mandatory on the first day of tryouts. - T. Correa

FOOTBALL TRYOUTS

Football tryouts will run Aug. 1-9.  Meet at the locker room aby 2:30 M-F. Completed physical and parent consent form required to participate. Com dressed to practice. - T. Correa

 

MEETINGS

KEY CLUB MEETING

for returning members only.  Lunch at Sato's (Q201) on Tuesday, Aug, 7.  Pick up membership forms and calendars. - K. Sato

SIERRA STUDENT COALITION

Officer's Meeting on Tuesday, August 7 at 12:20.  Agenda includes Club Day and recycling campaign.  See you there! - K. Williamson

BAND OFFICER ELECTIONS

All band students please be present for band officer elections today, Aug. 6, 2007.  We will start promptly at 2:10 p.m.  Also, there will be a Band Booster meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. open to all band students and their parents.  It is especially important that all freshmen make every attempt to be there. - B. KIWIN'S EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING

There will be an executive board meeting on Monday, August 6 during lunch in E201  (Martin)..  - L. Martin

 

FACULTY & STAFF

YEARBOOK PICTURE TAKING

If you did not get your photo taken for the yearbook on July 27, 2007, you still have one more chance to make sure your picture is included in the yearbook.  School picture taking is on August 8th and 9th in the WHS Gym.  You can go down at the end of your prep period to take your photo if you haven't already taken it.  I ask that you go towards the end of your prep period so that English classes can get their photos taken first. - K. Castillo
