HUIANA SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Will you be a Junior or Senior next year?  Interested in an exciting, hands-on career pathway work experience that will result in 1/2 or 1 elective credit that will count towards your graduation requirements?  Come and pick up an informational packet from Mrs. Yamanaka in U102.  Deadline to sign up is April 25th. - R. SUMMER SCHOOL!

Want to get some classes out of the way?  Need to make some classes up?  Then Summer School is for you!  Stop by Ku ha'aheo for a catalog and application.  Courses are 80 dollars per half credit and classes will be from June 13-July 3, 8:00- 12:15.  The deadline for priority sign up is April 25. - K. SCHOLARSHIP-HAWAII CROP IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION

Three, $500 scholarships available.  Based on essay submission about the benefits of biotechnology.  GPA and financial need are NOT requirements.  Deadline:  Friday, April 18, 2008.  See Mrs. Martin in E201 for more details. - L. Martin

ARMY NATIONAL GUARD  PRESENTATION

Do you want to do something good for your community ? How about developing a career skill ? Interested in Electrical skills or Aircraft Electronics, Meterorological Equipment Specialist, Construction, Computer-aided Design, Vehicle Maintenance, Heating & Cooling system? How about some help w/ College expenses ? Sgt. Wilson of the Hawaii Army National Guard, will be doing a presentation  on Tuesday, April 22, at 10:30am. in GRAC. ASVAB TEST

DOLLARS FOR CREAM PIES!

This is National Library Week.  Thursday is Teen Literature Day and the day we celebrate the Reading Challenge.  Bring a dollar to throw a whipped cream pie at our administrators and volunteer teacher targets.  Let's see if Aunty Pua will also surprise us with a consolation prize.  We read 167,582 or approximately 1,600 books in the month the Reading Challenge took place.  Thank you for getting "bleary eyed" by reading.  And thank you especially to Aunty Pua and Principal Koga for being such good sports and supporters of reading.  Stop by the Quad on Thursday at lunch time. - G. ATTENTION SENIORS

This is your last chance to pick up your Cap & Gown and Accessories.  Come to P5 on Wednesday and Friday at first recess and on Thursday at lunch recess.  You need to bring a valid picture ID in order to pick up your order.  Please do not send someone else to pick up your order or leave class early.  If you come before the bell, you will be sent back to class.  Any questions, see Adam N.  Thank you! - H. JUNIOR CLASS FUNDRAISER

A reminder to all Juniors:  Sweetbread ticket monies are due to your English class representative by Monday, April 21st.  English class representatives, please turn in all ticket monies, unsold tickets and the class roster to Mrs. Sakai-Kawada in R-202 by the end of lunch recess on Tuesday, April 22nd.  All unaccounted for tickets will be listed as an obligation. - T. SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS

CATRALA Hawaii Scholarship  -  Applicants must be pursuing a higher education in Travel Industry Management or other Business-related course of study. G.PA.  2.5 or higher. Amt. - $2,000.00.  Must also have participated in school  & community service activities which demonstrate leadership & responsibility. Deadline:  May 2, 2008.

FRIENDS OF THE PANA 'EWA ZOO  -  Amt. - $2,000.00.  Student must major in one of the life sciences (animal science, biology, botany, marine or enviromental science, pre-veterinary medicine, zoology), resume, personal essay. Deadline: May 5, 2008.
