GENERAL

WEEK DAY ATTENDANCE MAKEUP SESSIONS  

ha'aheo Fourth Quarter weekday attendance makeup sessions begin on Monday April 7 and run thru Thursday, May 1.  Saturday School dates are May 10, May 17, and May 24.  Attendance sessions will be from 2pm-3pm Mondays thru Thursdays.

Students must be in C 102 by 2pm and may not leave before 3pm to get credit.  Students will receive the attendance confirmation from the study hall supervisor when they enter.  Do NOT wait until the end of April to make up your excess absences.  Go at the beginning of April and avoid the rush. There is NO excuse for any student not getting credit for a class due to excessive absences.  Come to C 101 if you have any questions.  - P. De Morales

HUIANA SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Will you be a Junior or Senior next year?  Interested in an exciting, hands-on career pathway work experience that will result in 1/2 or 1 elective credit that will count towards your graduation requirements?  Come and pick up an informational packet from Mrs. Yamanaka in U102.  Deadline to sign up is April 25th. - R. JUNIOR COUNTRY FAIR

ATTENTION WARRIORS!!  The Sharks need help in our fundraising efforts!!!  Bring in used goods to be sold at the Junior Country Fair rummage sale.  Donations can be dropped off anytime at R202.  - T. Kawada

SUMMER SCHOOL!

Want to get some classes out of the way?  Need to make some classes up?  Then Summer School is for you!  Stop by Ku ha'aheo for a catalog and application.  Courses are 80 dollars per half credit and classes will be from June 13-July 3, 8:00- 12:15.  The deadline for priority sign up is April 25. - K. SCHOLARSHIP-HAWAII CROP IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION

Three, $500 scholarships available.  Based on essay submission about the benefits of biotechnology.  GPA and financial need are NOT requirements.  Deadline:  Friday, April 18, 2008.  See Mrs. Martin in E201 for more details. - L. Martin

SENIOR CLASS SHIRTS

Last day to purchase your last class shirt is Tues., April 15th.  Don't miss out on a one of a kind design with all names of the class of 2008.  Cost is $5.00 pre-sale and $8.00 in May.  Sizes will be limited in May.  Don't delay.  Purchase your shirt during lunch recess outside of E-103. - K. PIZZA NIGHT FOR KEY CLUB

Please support the WHS Key Club tomorrow for our Pizza Hut fundraiser night.  You can pick up a flyer from Q201.  Thank you for helping us to fund our service projects and events! - K. Sato

UH MANOA PRESENTATION  

Attention Seniors - UHManoa will be doing a presentation on April 24th, Thursday at 10:30 - 11:30am in the Library. This presentation is for students that have been accepted into Manoa. Topics will include orientation, and transitioning into the UHManoa campus. Bring your questions or what ever concerns you might have about UHManoa. Come by GRAC (port. 12) to sign up and get a pass.  - N. Okinaka

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS

BIG ISLAND PORTUGUESE CULTURAL CLUB  -  Amt. - $500.00. Applicant must be of Portuguese or part-Portuguese ancestry and submit a letter stating special reasons for applying. Deadline:  April 15, 2008.

FRIENDS OF THE PANA'EWA ZOO  - Amt. $2,000.00.  Financial need.  Applicants should have plans to major in one of the life sciences (animal science, biology, botany etc) w/ intent to pursue a career focused on improving the well-being of wild animals in some significant way. MEETINGS

MAY DAY PARTICIPANTS -  JUNIOR CLASS

There will be an informational meeting during Lunch TODAY in Q102, for any Juniors interested in participating in the May Day program.  Guys and girl are welcome to participate.  We will be dancing a hula 'auana to Ku'u Home Alokele.  If you have any questions, feel free to see Jayrah Salvador, Ryan Sagawa, Frantasia Kekaualua, or Mrs. Mendes for more information.  - K.
