WSFF WII PROMOTION

Hey Warriors, because of all the success we've had during this promotion, we have decided to extend the promo until February 29 and boost the limit of entries per person to five. So stop by B-202 to enter before its too late, because Wii Want You!!! - S. Kojima

MAY DAY ENTERTAINMENT

Anyone interested in performing for this year's May Day program, please come to an informational meeting on Friday, February 29 during morning recess in C102.  If you are unable to make it, please see Kawika in C102.   - K. Kaleohano

2008 YEARBOOKS

If you are interested in ordering a yearbook, please come to D-201 during lunch recess this week.  Yearbooks cost $50.00 and you can pay with cash or check written to WHS.   - K. Castillo

COMMENCEMENT SONG LEADER

Any senior interested in trying out for commencement song leader must attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, February 27th, at lunch recess in P5.  Auditions will take place on Friday, February 29th afterschool.  Any questions?  See Katie K, Mrs. Mandaloniz or Mrs. Tagawa.  Thank you! - H. COUNTY OF HAWAII POLICE CADET PROGRAM

The Police Cadet Program are for those seniors who are interested in a law enforcement career, who may be in school or working full-time and want to transition slowly into law enforcement with the Hawaii Police Department.  Minimum qualification requirements:  graduation from high school/or equivalent (high school students who meet graduation requirements by Feb. 29th must have writtin documentation from their high school), must be qualified to carry firearms (no domestic violence convictions), be of good moral character, be physically fit and possess a valid driver's license.  Recruitment closes on Febuary 29th.  To apply, call the County of Hawaii job hotline at 961-8618 or visit www.co.hawaii.hi.us to download an application packet.   - H. AP EXAMS

If you are planning to take an AP exam in May, please go to GRAC (P12) to pay for the $84 exam fee (per exam).  If you qualify for a fee reduction, please see Mrs. Tagawa or Mrs. Lyman-Mandaloniz.  Payments will be collected until February 29th.  You can pay before school, at recess or afterschool.  If you are paying by check, please make the check payable to Waiakea High School.  Any questions, please see Mrs. Tagawa (P5) or Mrs. Lyman-Mandaloniz (P3).  Thank you! - H. FLIP OUT CANCER:

Come to the quad during lunch recess today, and for every 25 cents you donate, a cheerleader or member of the Pantheon School of Gymnastics will do a flip.  Come on, Warriors, be generous as we help to "Flip Out Cancer." - D. Tanabe

FRESHMAN CLASS COUNCIL MEETING:

A freshman class council meeting will be held on Thursday, Feb. 28, MORNING RECESS in E-103.  Please be prompt.  We will be discussing the telephone book drive, May Day and Memorial Day lei activities.  Any interested freshman may attend.   - D. Tanabe
