GENERAL

SENIORS

Late Cap & Gown, Accessory & ring orders for any seniors unable to order at last week's ordering assembly will be taken on Wednesday, November 12, lunch recess only,  in B-203.  Mr. Goo, the Balfour representative will be here during that time to assist you with your orders.  Mahalo.   - J. Kruse

SENIORS

Freeman Correia of the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard will be available to meet with students on Friday, November 7th at 9:00 a.m. in the Library.  Mr. Correia is in a top level management position at the Shipyard and will be speaking with students about job opportunities available at the Shipyard.  Interested Seniors should come to GRAC for a pass.   - T. UH-HILO PRESENTATION FOR SENIORS

Jim Cromwell, Director of Admissions at UH-Hilo will be in GRAC on Tuesday, November 4th at 9:00 a.m.  Seniors interested in learning more about UH-Hilo should come to GRAC for a pass.  Space is limited to 50 students.   - T. Kawada

USC PRESENTATION

A representative from the University of Southern California will be in GRAC on Thursday, November 6th at 8:45 a.m.  USC is a private 4 year university in Los Angeles.  Students interested in attending USC require a minimum 3.0 GPA and a minimum SAT V of 600 and SAT M of 620.  Juniors & Seniors who would like to attend this presentation should come to GRAC for a pass.   - T. SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS

HEALD COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS:  for seniors graduating in 2004 with a 3.0 GPA for Qtr. 1 or Sem. 1 of their Senior Year.  One Merit Scholarhip valued at $13,2000 and two Quarterly Scholarships valued at $3,600 will be awarded to a student in Hawaii County.  Deadline to apply is February 18, 2004.  Come to GRAC for more information.

BURGER KING SCHOLARS:  for high school scenior who works an average of 15 hours per week, demonstrates participation in community service, has financial need, & plans to enroll in an accredited 2 yr. or 4 yr. college, university or vocational-technical school in Fall of 2004.  Applicant must also obtain written recommendation and signature from employer.  Interested seniors should submit a personal data sheet and/or resume to Mrs. Kawada by November 14th.  One nominee will be selected from our school.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY:  for seniors who are members of the NHS and are active in school and community.  Interested students should come to GRAC for an application which are due to Mrs. Kawada on January 16, 2004.  Two senior NHS members will be selected from applicants.

TUG OF WAR!

Hey all you strong warriors!  Wanna try and beat the current "DARE to Drink Milk Tug of War" Champs, the mighty juniors?  Juniors:  Be there and try to win your title back as CHAMPS!  The DECA Warriors encourage you to SIGN-UP before November 5th in B-201 for the 4th Annual Tug of War (10 girls, 10 boys) and will take place on Nov. 7th.  Remember, all participants receive a coupon for a "FREE" milk.   - S. AUDITION FOR CHRISTMAS PROGRAM EMCEES  

If you are interested in serving as an Emcee for the December 11th Christmas Program, please come to D204 and pick up an audition script.  Auditions will be held on Thursday, November 6th in D204 during First and Second Recess.   - S. Naungayan

SENIOR CLASS CHRISTMAS PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS:

There is a mandatory meeting in D-204 on Tuesday, November 4, during Lunch Recess,  for all seniors who have signed up to participate in the Senior Class Christmas Program presentation.  Attendance will be taken;  those who are absent will not participate in the show.  If you cannot attend the meeting but still want to participate, you must see Shayna Kubojiri, Kody Shimabukuro, or Mrs. Naungayan.   - S. FRESHMAN CLASS OF 2007 T-SHIRTS

Orders are now being taken for Freshman C/0 2007 T-Shirts, starting Monday 11-3-07.! You must turn in your order form with payment to C-202 from 12:10 - 12:30 p.m. (during lunch recess). If you need an extra form or informationregarding the T-shirts, you may see Ms. Martino in C202. Order forms will be taken up until Friday 11--7-03! So hurry up and order your awesome t-shirts today and show your class spirit!!!   - J. Martino

DISMISSAL OF RIFLERY TEAM TO STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Please excuse the following members of the boy's and girl's riflery team on Nov. 3-5, 2003 to attend the state championships in Honolulu.  They are responsible for make-up of all missed assignments.
