ELECTRONICS TECHNICAL CENTER ETC @ Waiakea High is accepting applications for students interested in obtaining an entry level or advanced electricity/electronics credit.  Electronic classes will be from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, beginning October 13, 2003.  Information and application forms are available from J-Electronics.   - M. JUNIORS & SENIORS A representative from Seattle University will be in GRAC on Friday, September 19 at 11:20 a.m.  Seattle University is a medium-sized, private, 4 year university affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church.  Interested students should have a minimum GPA of 2.75 & can come to GRAC for a pass.   - T. JUNIORS & SENIORS A representative from Lewis & Clark College will be in GRAC on Monday, September 22 at 9:15 a.m.  Lewis & Clark College is a small, private 4 year liberal arts college located in Portland, Oregon.  Interested students should come to GRAC for a pass.   - T. Kawada


SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS Horatio Alger Association for students who have demonstrated integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity.  Applicants must have a 2.0 GPA and require financial assistance to attend college.  Apply at www.horatioalger.org.  Application deadline is October 15.    - T. SENIOR YEARBOOK ADS Seniors:  Deadline for submitting your completed Senior Ad Page and monies is Friday, September 19th at 2:30.  Failure to meet this deadline will result in a cancellation of your page.   - P. King


ALL SOPHOMORE GUYS:   Please come out for Male Cheerleading!  If you're interested, sign up in C-204 from today until next Friday.  There will be a mandatory meeting in F-103 in Friday, September 19 during morning recess. Thank you!   - K. Uyeda

ASVAB The first ASVAB test will be held on Thursday, October 23 in the library from 8:00 a.m. - 12 noon.  There in no cost involved.  Although the ASVAB is utilized by the different branches of the military it can also be useful in indentifying career interests and student strengths.  All interested students should sign up in GRAC.     - T. ELECTRONICS TECHNICAL CENTER ETC is accepting applications for afterschool electricity/electronics classes.  The first session will begin October 13, 2003, meeting Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.  Last day of class will be on June 2, 2004.  For an application or more information come to J-Electronics.   - M. HCPS II PRACTICE HCPS II Reading and Math Practice will be offered during fall intersession, Oct 6-10, 2003.  HCPS-like Reading and Math assignments will be given for student practice.  We don't have both teachers yet, but...Come to C 101 to sign up.      - P De. Morales

GENERAL POLICY HAS NOT CHANGED: No eating in the classrooms unless specific arrangements have been made with the teacher for specific purposes, (club meetings, officer meetings, etc) and teachers are to ensure that food rubbish/trash is taken care of.  Trash can liners cannot be supplied on a daily basis.  School order is made to maintain normal dry classroom type rubbish.  Food trash must be taken to the cafe dumpster--NOT put in the large trash cans nearest your room.  Thank you!   - J.
