JUNIORS & SENIORS

 

A representative from University of Oregon will be in GRAC on Monday, September 8 at 10:45.  U of O is a large, public 4-year university in Eugene, Oregon.  Applicants require a minimum combined SAT score of 1000 and a  minimum GPA of 3.0.  Interested students should come to GRAC for a pass.   - T. A representative from Loyola Marymount University will be in GRAC on Friday, September 12 at 8:30 a.m.  Loyola Marymount is a medium-sized private 4 year university in Los Angeles, California affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church.  Interested students should go to GRAC for a pass.   - T. PIHANA NA MAMO CLUB

 

Want to learn about the Hawaiian culture?  Pihana Na Mamo o Waiakea will be having it's first membership recruitment meeting on Thursday, September 4 during lunch recess in P-18.  All students are welcome.  Meeting will start promptly at 12 noon.     - D. Kotaki

 

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT

 

Junior Achievement evening program tryouts are Tuesday, Sept. 9th at Waiakea High School Cafeteria starting at 6:30pm.  Students who signed up for Junior Achievement are reminded that attendance at this meeting is required.  Students who have not completed an application will be accepted on a space available basis.   - S. The supplement to last year's yearbook has arrived.  If you pre-ordered one, come to D-201 during recess and lunch to pick it up.  Extras will be sold on a first come, first served basis for $6.00.   - P. King

SOFTBALL SIGN UPS

CLUB DEKTOL

 

There will be a Photography Club meeting on Friday, September 5 in room H 102 at lunch recess for all who are interested. Discussion will include Officers, on/off campus event shoots for the newspaper, and fundraisers. New members are encouraged to join.    - A. Kelly

SENIOR CLEAN-UP FUNDRAISER

 

Seniors we will be cleaning Wong stadium after the football game this Friday night.  Please come and help.  The more hands the better.  Meet us on the left hand side of the stadium facing the field.  Hope to see you there.    - L. Botelho

CLUB FUNDRAISER

 

If any club is interested in helping pick up rubbish in the stands after home football games and earn some funds, please contact me as soon as possible.  Assignments will be on a first to call basis.   - K. Yamase

 

FRESH HYDROPONIC PRODUCED  LETTUCE

 

Want some fresh grown Hydroponic Lettuce at 50 cent a bunch. This is produced without  ANY chemical sprayers what so ever by my  Agricuture/Aquaculture students here at WHS. If interested or want more information on: Varieties produced (we have many types), how often available, etc., drop me a note by any way of your choice or call me at ext. 281. This will also be delivered to you here on campus. We are also starting a Lettuce-A-Week Club (This is for those that would be interested in buying Lettuce every week.   - G. Victorine
