GENERAL

MAY 14 LAST DAY TO BORROW BOOKS

This Friday is the last day to borrow books from the library.  In fact, Friday is the last due date, so anything still  out will be considered overdue.   Sorry, but we are getting ready for the end of the year....yearbook and commencement  ticket distribution lists.  Come and buy our discarded books instead! - G. BLUEPLANET QUARTERLY

Ms. Pat Richardson, Latin teacher, has given the library a membership in the Ocean Conservancy, which comes with a beautiful magazine called the Blueplanet Quarterly.  It is devoted to saving our marine resources and the current issue has articles on fish farming, sea turtles and the Atlantic cod.  Thank you, Pat. - G. BOOK SALE VALUES

We are in the last few days of the library's book sale.  Come and browse and take a BAG FULL of books at discounted prices.  Pay what you can.  The fewer books we have the box, the happier we will be. - G. Kobayashi

SENIORS

Hey you seniors, we are in need of t-leaves to make our leis for memorial leis. If you have or know of someone who  has t-leaves, could you bring some to school. Drop off is at H-Counselors. Thanks a bunch! - N. Sumida

SENIOR CREDITS AND GRADUATION

There are about 14 more class sessions left.  Make sure you attend all classes and keep up with assignments.  You've worked hard to get this far.  Graduating is YOUR responsibility, NOT your parents', teachers' or counselor's.  If you're not sure if you need a class to graduate, see your counselor.  Ignorance is NO excuse. - M. RBI GIRLS SOFTBALL & BOYS BASEBALL

Registration and tryouts for girls and boys will be this Saturday at the Boys and Girls Club.  Registration for girls will be from 11:00am-noon with tryouts from noon-2:00pm.  Registration for boys will be from 3:00-4:00pm with tryouts from 4:00-6:00pm.  See Mr. Yamauchi if you have any questions. - W. Relay for Life @ Honoka'a - Interact members will not be participating in the Honoka'a  HS relay for life that will take place this Friday, 5/14. Students should be in their 6th period class.  - N. Sumida

LAST CHANCE:  ANY SENIOR WHO DID NOT ATTEND AND RECEIVE A SAFETY BRIEFING, YOU MUST REPORT TO D204 DURING FIRST RECESS TODAY.  IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE THE BRIEFING BY TODAY, YOU WILL NOT GO ON THE RETREAT.   - S. Naungayan

CAR SHOW 2004 SOUNDS CONTESTANTS AND AUTO CLUB MEMBERS

All field trip forms must be turned in by Thursday - May 13 to participate.  See Mr. Kiyan if you did not receive one.  Also, mandatory meeting for all on Thursday (5/13), morning recess 10:00 at Auto Shop. - D. Kiyan

ASVAB TEST RESULTS:

HAWAII COMMUNITY COLLEGE ORIENTATION

SENIORS!!!  If you have been accepted to HCC for Fall of 2004, a representative from HCC will be in the library on Thursday, May 13 at 8:30 a.m.  All seniors who have been accepted to HCC should come to GRAC for a pass to attend this orientation session.  - T. Kawada

SPRING FOOTBALL PRACTICE

Spring football practice for all current 9th-11th graders will start on Monday, May 17th.  Interested students must have a current physical and parental consent form.  Students are to meet at the LR at 3:30pm.   - K. Yamase
