SENIOR SERVICE RETREAT NEEDS 264 SENIORS

Seniors, the deadline for the submission of your $5.00 (Senior Service Retreat fee and paperwork) is on Wednesday, May 5th.  Turn your money and paperwork in at Q2O4.  If 264 seniors are not able to go on the Service Retreat, we will not go.  - S. Naungayan

STATE MATH BOWL

Congratulations to Kristen Bautista, Curtis Ogi, and Jonathan Paranada!  They won 2nd place at the State Math Bowl Championships on Maui on Saturday, May 1, 2004.  The trophy is on display in the school office.  - C. Mizuno

NJROTC MAUNA KEA SUMMIT VISIT

Cadets participating in the Gemini Observatory orientation must have their Student Excursion Forms and Gemini Release Forms submitted to the NJROTC office and must sign the Group Gemini Observatory Indemnity Release Agreement by noon today.    - Capt. Schlegelmilch

This years Hawaii Publishers Association's Hawaii Highschool Journalism Awards went to:

1. Best Sportswriting in the District: Necelyn Cabalce -- "Cowabunga" -  Is High School Surfing a Sport?

2. Best Feature in the District: Joelle Penisten - "The Hole Story"  teenage piercing

3. Best Editorial in The District: Joelle Penisten- "Child Modeling on the Web"

4. Best Editorial in the STATE: Joelle Penisten: "Child Modeling on the Web." - A. Kelly

For:             All High School Student Athletes Participating in Athletics 2004 - 2005 Season

Cost:           $25.00 donation to benefit participating Athletic Training Departments

Requirements:

1)  Forms must be completed and signed prior to screening

2)  Immunization cards must be current and presented at time of screening

3) Intermediate students (14 years old and under) must be accompanied by a parent
