SOPHOMORE CLASS T-SHIRT -

ALL SOPHOMORES!  The deadline for turning in your t-shirt orders has been extended until Friday, April 23, 2004!  Please show your spirit and support our class!  The design features wonderful artwork provided by fellow sopohomores.  T-shirts are going for $14.00 pre-sale, so come and drop your order form and payment to Jon Yu or Mrs. Uyeda by the 23rd.  This is your last chance until our Senior year! - K. KAHA KI'I CONGRESSIONAL ART COMPETITION

Congratulations to the following art students that competed in the Kaha Ki'i Congressional Art Competition (Hawaii District): Nathan Braceros, Ahley Hare Schuler, Franklin Hollins, Natasha Kainoa, Lisa Kim, Malie Larish, Kacie Miura, Kahea Napeahi, and Carrisa Vieira. We're especially proud of the following awards students recieved at the competition: Mayor's Award:Ashley Hare Schuler, People's Choice Award:Kacie Miura, Finalist(to compete in the State competition in May): Nathan Braceros, Ashley Hare Schuler, Kacie Miura, and Carrisa Vieira. Of the 6 Finalists selected, WHS was awarded 4!  - S. Palea

UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII AT MANOA

Seniors admitted to UH-Manoa for Fall 2004:  a representative from UH-Manoa will be in the library on Monday, April 19th at 8:30 a.m.  All seniors who were accepted to UH-Manoa should come to GRAC for a pass.

JUNIORS LAST CHANCE TO TAKE COLLEGE BOARD SAT TESTS!   

The deadline for the June 4 SAT test is April 30.  If you plan on attending a 4-year college, sign up to take the June test if you have not taken the SAT yet.  Reminder, the Univeristy of California schools require the SATII test.  Any Junior who may be serious about applying for the military academy, see your counselor now! - M. STUDENT OBLIGATIONS

Reminder that when a student returns a textbook to you or pays you for an obligation, you need

to let us know so we can clearn him/her from our computer.  You may drop a note in my box, e-mail or call us with this information.   Seniors are trying to graduate and we are busily trying to help them by collecting monies from

them.  Your cooperation is  needed.  Also, if you want to get textbooks, reports, fees collected,

you need to write those obligations and turn them in to the library so we can input the data.  Thank you. - G. Kobayashi

KALUA PLATE & HOLY BAKERY PIES

Tickets are available from Pihana Na Mamo club members or see Mrs. Kotaki in P-18.  Kalua Plate tickets are for May Day Ho'olaule'a on 5/3/04.  Pick-up for Holy Bakery pies will also be done during Ho'olaule'a in D-102 (Mrs. DeMello's room.)  You can purchase tickets up until Friday, April 30.  Mahalo for supporting the Pihana Na Mamo program. - D. SENIOR ENGLISH TEACHERS

Please assist us in completing the dissemination of 4th Quarter Suspension Notices to all seniors.  Some classes/students did not receive the written notice from Mr. Koga before spring break.  We will be attempting to complete class distributions this week.  If you receive a packet in your mailbox, please give notices & collect signatures from individual students who were absent from class when information was handed out.  Return signature sheets to Ms. Kruse.  Mahalo. - J.
