The Guidance Department has a philosophy consistent with the school philosophy in that all students can learn. The department faculty further believes that every guidance student should be made aware of who he/she is and what options are available to him/her. To this end, the department offers a required semester of career development and guidance in the 9th grade. This course focuses on increasing self-understanding, dealing with social issues, decision-making, and guiding interpersonal skills to improve one's chances of success in educational and career pursuits.
